3 For all devices
3.1 Mount components securely
Designers shall mount all electronic components securely:
- Bolted connections into structural members.
- Zip ties one of two ways
- Zip tie around or through the component, and around a structural member.
- Zip tie around or through the component, and through holes in a structural member.
- Always rely on mechanical interference to prevent components from moving.
- Do not rely on pressure and friction as an alternative.
3.2 Make a plan for servicing

4 Spark Max
4.1 Wire clearance
Ensure at least 1" of clearance from the sides of the motor controller with wires.
4.2 Wire connector access
Ensure that there is ample room for servicing the CAN bus and motor data cable connectors by hand; no tools should be necessary.
